Spoken and Done!!! (Psalm 33) 050308

This is a beautiful Psalm. I am amazed that I have missed out this Psalm so many times. There are so much beautiful assurance and truth about God in this Psalm. The Psalmist must have had a close encounter with God!

Thanksgiving is my only right response to God’s faithfulness and lovingkindness (v1-5). I must thank God for extending His Divine hands of help to touch the hearts my lecturers and causes them to want to postpone the datelines of all my assignments which are supposed to be due this week. Though I have completed more than half and will be able to push myself to finish up the rest of them, but that will add stress to myself as I still have to take care of Alethea alone this week. I simply lay before God my burdens and He graciously intervenes, so that I can breathe in the beauty of His presence.

I will have time to enjoy the creation of God this week. Today, I will only have morning lesson, and I will go out to the nature if God’s willing, to breathe in the aroma of the nature and listen to the symphony by the wind, insects and birds. All these are created by the word of God (v6). And every time when I walk into nature, I cannot help myself, but to be in awe of Him (v8). I can almost sense the amazing love of God pouring upon me, soaking me in His grace as all these creations were created for humanity to enjoy and have dominion over!

My heart is full of gratitude. I am thankful to God for allowing me to read His words and His words speak to me. For He speaks, it will be done (v9)! Whatever God has spoken in His words, it was done! His words of encouragement is done. His words of empowerment is done. His words of grace is done. His words of love is done. His words of strength is done. His words of rest is done. And His words of healing, is done! For He spoke, and it was done!

Yesterday He assured me that He will see me through this week, He spoke and it was done! I don’t know how else I can response, but to continuously give thanks and praises to His name. I know that God is doing a work of healing in me. I know that God is leading me out of my spiritual wilderness. As I follow Him, I follow His words, because the words He spoke, it was done!

I follow God’s spoken words and it was done, whose words would you follow?
