The Epistle of Abel to A&E BAG (Rom 1:8-17)
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you who are in my CG, because your faith and your love for the Lord is really very encouraging to me, even as it was being reported to me by my wife about your sevice in Church. God, whom I serve with as a full-time student of the Word of God, so that I may preach and teach about the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you in my prayers at least once a day in the morning when I am doing my devotion; and I pray that by God’s will that I can be a good and loving shepherd to you so that you can be opened to share your lives with me (and also my wife).
I long to have more fellowship with you so that I may be part of you life and share with you some of the things that I have learn in Bible College, to make you strong and equip you to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ, so that you and I can mutually encouraged by each other in the love of Christ. I do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that I have planned many times to spend more time with you all to express my love and care for you, (but I have been really busy and sometime I am simply too lazy to do so), in order that I may share moments of joy and fun with you so that I can have a harvest load of memorable experience to write in my devotions.
I am obligated both to you and your family, regardless if you are a stduent, a nurse, a dentist, an IT programmer, a teacher, a banker, a navigator, or a slacker. That is why I am so eager to teach and share the way of discipleship with all of you and even maybe to many others too.
I am not ashamed to be a disciple of Jeus Christ, because it is the power of God for everyone of us to live and to help others too to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ. First starting from our CG, then also to others outside our CG. For God has revealed the cost of discipleship in Luke 9:23, and we can only be a true disciple by deny ourselves by faith, taking up our cross daily and follow Jesus for beginning to the end, just as it is written:
"If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."
